The Tarleton rodeo team finished the season with the annual steak dinner and auction Saturday, Nov. 14. The dinner included both silent and live auctions with numerous valuable items being sold.

The money raised in the auction will go to the upcoming season's rodeo team for things such as the Tarleton State Rodeo that will take place at the end of April. The money will also enter into the scholarship pool for the team and go towards the building funds for the arena.

Items auctioned ranged from agriculture to entertainment. Some of the items sold were gift baskets, certificates, horse and bull breeding, a lawn mower, National Finals Rodeo tickets, University of Texas vs. Texas A&M football tickets and other items in the silent and live auction.

The season wrapped up following the school's Halloween competition, which had each competitor take part in the events while dressed in Halloween costumes. The event had approximately 200 contestants with about 200 fans in attendance to watch as the majority of the team finished their season.

Isaac Diaz will compete once more before the year's end from Dec. 3-12 in the National Finals Rodeo, taking part in the saddle bronc riding competition.
