Hurricane Gustav left more than 800,000 people in New Orleans without power, but Stephenville probably won't see a drop of rain from him.

Many people had anxieties because the arrival of Gustav neared the three-year anniversary of the devastating Hurricane Katrina. Though Gustav was not as terribly destructive as was feared and was downgraded to a tropical depression Tuesday, parts of Louisiana still suffered heavy damage. Eight deaths were attributed to the storm according to cnn.com. More than one million Louisiana residents lost power because many lines were severely damaged.

According to theweatherchannel.com, Tropical Depression Gustav is expected to continue to slowly move north over the next couple of days, but Erath county should not expect to see any downfall. However, according to usatoday.com, it may not be long before Hanna, Ike or Josephine heads our way.
