The Texans dreams of making a run at the NCAA Division II national title game was in limbo with seconds left in Saturday's game. Senior kicker Garrett Lindholm lined up to kick the game-tying 64-yard field goal in front of approximately 13,000 fans in Kingsville, in hopes of sending the match into overtime.

Texans earn national recognition in nail-biting victory
With 45 seconds remaining in the game, the Tarleton Texan football team trailed 49-46 in this weekend's playoff game against Texas A&M-Kingsville. Tarleton sent out their field goal team in an attempt to tie up the game and head into overtime. This attempt was far from normal as the team aimed for a 64-yard field goal, one yard farther than the NFL record and second longest in NCAA Division II history.

Tarleton Rodeo caps off season with annual steak dinner and auction

The Tarleton rodeo team finished the season with the annual steak dinner and auction Saturday, Nov. 14. The dinner included both silent and live auctions with numerous valuable items being sold. The money raised in the auction will go to the upcoming season's rodeo team for things such as the Tarleton State Rodeo that will take place at the end of April.
