Tarleton State University held its eighth annual Student Research Symposium on Halloween, showcasing the research projects of Tarleton students. First place winners recieved a $750 scholarship and $100 award, and second place winners received $75 award. Organized by the Office of Student Research and Creative Activities and the Tarleton chapter of Sigma Xi, 29 projects were presented.

Students traveling through the Barry B. Thompson Student Center may have recently noticed a box set up by the Student Programming Association requesting suggestions from students on what they would like to see happen regarding the facility.
Students were encouraged to submit suggestions for the entire building, including renovations taking place in the lower level.

For the fourth consecutive year, FFA enthusiasts from 52 schools attended the Leadership Development Event Contest on Wednesday, hosted by Tarleton agricultural students.
Contestants competed in Junior and Senior divisions in Chapter Conducting, FFA Skills, Creed Speaking and FFA Quiz, along with FFA Radio, Ag Issues and Public Relations.
