Graduation changes affect December ceremony
Tarleton's graduation ceremonies are changing - they're going to take more time and have fewer guests per graduate. Beginning next month, the number of friends and family each graduate may invite will be limited to 10 and the number of ceremonies will be reduced from four to two, said Graduation Coordinator Connie Murry.

More errors surface in missing voter registration probe

Voter registration has been a source of confusion for the two weeks following Election Day, when dozens of would-be voters were turned away at the polls. Now, new numbers are entering the equation. Voter Registrar Deputy Lana Stevens said more than 100 voter registration cards were rejected or mailed out of the county and this could account for most of the approximately 125 voters who trained election official Colby Reynolds estimated were unable to vote at the Embarq voting location of Nov.

Public faculty evaluations still in question

Last spring Shane Henry and Heather Ingle included in their campaign for Student Body President and Vice President a platform item to make faculty evaluations public. However, when discussions began this fall on the issue, it was met with powerful opposition.

China is destination for summer Study Abroad

Tarleton students interested in the opportunity to travel to China will soon get their chance to study global business practices during the 2009 summer session. The College of Business Administration is inviting sophomores, juniors and seniors to join a two-week study abroad tour of Chinese businesses, cultural sites and 2008 Olympic venues.

Job shadowing for a brighter future

Students interested in finding out more about their potential career or "shadowing" someone to gain insight into what the real world is like can get involved in the nationwide event called Groundhog Job Shadow Day. On Feb. 2, students have the chance to go through a day in the career of someone in their future field.
